鼓勵優秀後進 林有志贈比賽用籃球給四維師生
2018花蓮觀護盃國際籃球邀請賽日前圓滿落幕，創辦人林有志及花蓮縣觀護協會理事長林錦輝，特別前往四維高中，將近五萬元的斯柏汀比賽用球及球車，致贈給籃球隊，除了感謝校方在比賽期間的大力支持與協助，同時也期勉學生在球技上能更精進。
林有志肯定四維高中培育花蓮體育運動選手的用心，他說，在各項體育都締造亮麗的成績，為鼓勵優秀運動選手，特成立及支持學校設立「四維體育獎學金｣，鼓勵校內優秀清寒運動選手，協助他們永不放棄能更積極參與體育競賽活動，展現各項體育技能，也希望透過獎學金能鼓勵優秀清寒的同學，不放棄自己的夢想，鼓勵同學們能在四維圓夢。
首屆獲頒體育績優獎學金的同學共8位，每位獎學金5000元，包括：跆拳校隊的董嘉賓、孫晨瑋；籃球隊的蔡怡柔、林子裕；田徑隊的劉立琳、林振柏；棒球隊的張宇杰；足球隊的張婉君等八位。這些同學在學校參加了體育代表隊或體育社團，在教練的規劃下，選手利用晨訓、課後及社團活動等時間積極的鍛鍊，讓熱愛運動的孩子們在學校也能兼顧學業及技能找到自己的天空。他們特別製作了感恩卡感謝林有志創辦人的照顧與資助，讓他們能無後顧之憂的求學，將來也要仿效林創辦人回饋社會國家的慈悲心懷。
林錦輝理事長也表示，在觀護盃籃球賽辦理期間，四維師生前往觀賽踴躍，並選派了數名志工連續五天前往小巨蛋協助球賽進行，賽事期間表現優秀，主動負責，讓球團及貴賓們都稱讚不已。
