喝啤酒容易變胖，這話只說對一半

台灣喝啤酒的風氣越來越盛，不管冬夏，啤酒與下酒菜是許多人最愛的舒心飲食。偏偏啤酒容易使人變胖，或許「啤酒肚」一詞就是因此而來。其實常喝啤酒未必會變胖，只要注意一些飲食小撇步。
啤酒之所以會讓人變胖，一部份是因為其順口的口感容易使人攝取過多酒精，而酒精是高熱量的物質；另一個原因 ─ 恐怕是最重要的原因 ─ 啤酒會使人胃口大開，導致人們喜歡邊喝啤酒邊吃高熱量的下酒菜，這樣當然容易變胖。
另一方面，身體往往會優先代謝酒精，所以其他攝取的糖份等物質會延遲代謝，這一延遲就是熱量轉化為脂肪儲存的關鍵；因而，如果沒有注意一天的總熱量攝取，且邊吃飯邊喝啤酒自然容易累積脂肪。
如果啤酒愛好者不想累積脂肪，一定要注意熱量攝取、勤於運動。另外，可以試著在喝啤酒之前適量喝一些酸奶或牛奶，這些食物能抑制人體對酒精的吸收，還能夠增加飽足感，減少熱量攝取。茶與啤酒交替喝也是個不錯的方法，因為茶能促進酒精的代謝，能減少其他熱量轉化為脂肪的機率。
其實只要注意熱量攝取，適量地喝啤酒對身體有不少幫助，比如降低罹患糖尿病的機率、降低血脂等等。
